Sold at a base price of $ 51,445, the RAM 1500 Big Horn model we took out for a test drive had a 6- foot 4- inch bed and a Team Cab. Other configurations are available too, like a Quad Cab and a 5- foot 7- inch bed.
As standard equipment on the 1500 Big Horn, you will find 18- inch wheels; you could also choose optional 20- inch wheels as well.
Powertrain and performance
The RAM 1500 Big Horn has a 3.6 L V6 engine with 305 horsepower or a 5.7 L V8 with 395 horsepower. You can also choose between a 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain.
As for the towing capacities, the Big Horn offers a maximum of 7,460 pounds with the V6 engine, depending on selected configuration. Towing capacity climbs to 11,410 pounds should you opt for the V8 engine.

We were surprised by the outstanding road handling and smooth driving experience the truck had to offer, especially when taking into consideration its imposing dimensions. This feeling was also enhanced by the spacious interior and the most comfortable seats. We would have loved to spend even more time on board, not only because of the luscious comfort the interior offers, but also because of just how incredibly user friendly it is and the loads of features there are to explore.
Amongst other things, you will find a Uconnect system with an 8.4- inch screen (optional, standard screen is 5- inches), audio commands on the steering wheel, 4- way powered front seats, air-conditioning and more.
You will also find loads of standard safety features such as a rear-view camera and cruise control, and will be able to add more options like blind spot surveillance, the ParkSense park assist system and many more.
